Elsa has always had 2 sides -
the creative and the thinking.

She's loved stories all her life -
reading them and soon also writing them.
Then, right after getting her PhD,
she suddenly started waking up with the beginnings
of songs, poems, spoken word pieces,
going through her head.
By now, she's written hundreds of poems and songs.
She's also written a book for preteens -
about Caro Carolina, 13, who encounters
an invisible dog that some other people see
but she's can't see.

And then, thinking. Elsa has always wanted
to understand, wanted to make sense of things.
She's always loved good thinking -
acknowledging facts, finding more facts,
and then seeing where that leads.

People - making sense of people,
that's a huge passion.
Making sense, and then also
figuring out how to undo inner damage,
and how best to encourage inner strenth.
(Having outside safety is a significant factor.)

Actually, Elsa has had at least 3 sides:
even as a child, she wanted to help make the world
a better place.

Islam - that wasn't something she paid
any attention to, throughout much of her life.
But she's cared about human rights,
including the equality of women and men,
and also freedom of speech and thought.

It's been an interesting ongoing journey.
